Mista X - Calling

MISTA X, usually known for his gritty, raw, street-describing lyrics, delves into his softer side on this one - a liquid Drum and Bass track to provide the soundtrack to your summer. The track itself, produced by DJ Komatose is uplifting, energetic and dream-like, allowing MISTA X to explore his more introspective side. This is a track that you can picture being rinsed out at Summer barbeques or at 3am in the Rave. It’s a Summer Slammer!

MISTA X is a well-known name on the Drum and Bass scene, having performed on stages as diverse as; Innovation in the Sun, Random Concept, Breakin’ Science, to Raves up and down the country. Starting out with a love for Hip Hop, he has developed his style over many years, becoming the Artist he is today, with the ability and flow to fit to any genre.

“My biggest (UK) inspiration was MC Skibadee, with his unmatched ability to flow in such a way that was absolutely epic. Eksman and his grimey, clash-style bars in drum and bass influenced me massively because I love the whole grime culture and the clashes. Eksman brought that vibe to drum and bass and it sat perfectly with me. Skepta, JME, Devilman, Ghetts are a few more to mention. I'd say these are my main influences”

The tune here with Komatose was me just letting some emotions out on a liquid dnb track. I thought the music was beautifully made and wanted to compliment it with some realness
